SERVICES

For most people, career counseling is a short-term, linear process that includes assessing your situation, exploring your options, preparing for and executing a job search. If you are also wrestling with a mental health issue like trauma, ADHD, anxiety or depression, this process may feel overwhelming. I am uniquely qualified to help clear the roadblocks obstructing your career path and get you where you want to go.

Whatever your situation, our work together will be straightforward and efficient, broken down into four phases:

ASSESSMENT

I will conduct a thorough intake of your skills, values and experiences and -- in most cases -- administer standardized assessments of personality traits (the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and interests (the Strong Interest Inventory).

exploration

Together, we will brainstorm, mind-map and/or inventory your network and resources to identify careers, jobs and employers of interest and set search goals.

preparation

I will collaborate with you in writing, rewriting or optimizing your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile, including a first-round edit of these materials. If you prefer to completely outsource this work, I can refer you to qualified resources.

execution

We will craft and implement a job search strategy and I can coach you as needed through individual issues that may arise along the way, including but not limited to: interview preparation, cold calling, working with recruiters, time management and negotiation.
